1. Who we are

Oud Library is a trading name of THE OUD LIBRARY LTD, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 15847385. Our address is 13a Alperton Lane, Perivale, Greenford, UB6 8DH, United Kingdom, and our VAT number is GB 493 3650 69.

2. These terms

These terms apply to every order you place on oudlibrary.com. Please read them before you order. We may update them from time to time, but the version that applies to your order is the one shown here when you placed it.

Our website and products are for adults. You must be 18 or over to place an order.

3. Our products

We sell perfume oils, which are alcohol-free, and Extrait de Parfum, which is alcohol-based. Each product page describes the product, its size and its scent notes.

Product pictures are for illustration. Your screen may show colours slightly differently, and packaging can change from time to time.

Fragrance is a personal experience. How a scent develops and how long it lasts depends on your skin, the amount you apply and the conditions you wear it in, so descriptions of a scent are a guide, not a promise of how it will smell on you.

Our products are for external use only. Please read the ingredients and any warnings on the product page and packaging, and do a patch test first if you have sensitive skin or allergies.

4. Placing an order

To order, add products to your basket, go to checkout, enter your details and choose your delivery. You can check and correct everything, including any typing mistakes, before you press the button to pay. We keep a record of your order, and you can see it in your confirmation email, or in your account if you have one. Orders are made in English. You can save or print these terms.

When you place an order, you are offering to buy the products in your basket. We will email you to confirm we have received your order. Our contract with you starts when we email you to confirm that your order has been dispatched.

We may not be able to accept your order, for example if a product is out of stock, if we cannot deliver to your address, or if there is an error in the price or description. If so, we will tell you and refund anything you have paid.

5. Prices and payment

Prices are in pounds sterling, and prices for UK delivery include VAT. If you shop from some countries outside the UK, prices may be shown and charged in your local currency; checkout always shows the currency you will pay in. Delivery charges are shown at checkout before you pay. For orders delivered outside the UK, import duties and taxes may be charged by the destination country; see our shipping policy.

We take payment when you place your order, through our secure checkout. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Diners Club, Discover and UnionPay cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay, PayPal and Klarna. Card details are handled by our payment providers, and we do not see or store your full card number.

If we discover that a price was wrong, we will contact you before dispatch to ask whether you want to go ahead at the correct price or cancel. If you cancel, we will refund you in full.

Discounts and offers apply under the conditions shown with them. Unless an offer says so, discounts cannot be combined.

6. Delivery

Delivery options, prices and times are set out in our shipping policy. Your order is our responsibility until it is delivered to you, or to someone you asked us to deliver it to. It is yours from that point.

If we do not deliver within 30 days of your order and we have not agreed a later date with you, you can cancel the order and get a full refund.

7. Your right to cancel

You can cancel your order within 14 days of the day you receive it, without giving a reason. If your order arrives in more than one delivery, the 14 days start when you receive the last item.

8. If something is wrong with your order

We are under a legal duty to supply products that match their description, are of satisfactory quality and are fit for purpose. If an item is faulty or not as described, you have legal rights, including:

• within 30 days of delivery, to reject it and get a full refund;
• after 30 days, to have it repaired or replaced, or, if that is not possible or does not work, a price reduction or a refund.

9. Our responsibility to you

If we break these terms or fail to use reasonable care and skill, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result. Loss or damage is foreseeable if it is obvious it will happen, or if both of us knew it might happen when the contract was made.

We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for breaching your legal rights in relation to the products.

We supply our products for personal use only. If you use them for any commercial or resale purpose, we are not responsible to you for any loss of profit, loss of business or business interruption.

10. Using our website

The content of our website, including text, images and designs, belongs to us or our licensors. You may view it and share links to it, but you may not copy it for commercial use without our permission.

Reviews and comments you post on our website must be your own honest opinion and must not be unlawful, offensive or misleading. We may remove any that are. We never post fake reviews. If we ever reward a review, for example with a discount, we will say so next to it.

Our website links to other websites, such as social media and review sites. We are not responsible for their content or how they use your information.

11. Your personal information

We use your personal information as set out in our privacy policy.

12. Events outside our control

We are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our control, such as severe weather or strikes affecting delivery. If one affects your order, we will contact you as soon as we can, and if there is a long delay you can cancel and get a refund for anything not yet received.

13. Other important terms

If a court finds part of these terms unlawful, the rest will continue in force. If we do not insist straight away that you do something you are required to do under these terms, we can still require you to do it later.

These terms are between you and us. No other person has any rights to enforce them.

14. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales, or if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in the courts of your part of the UK. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you also keep the protection of the consumer laws there.
