Our perfume oils contain no alcohol. A drop or two is all you need, and they sit close to the skin. Our Extraits de Parfum are sprays, made at 40% concentration in an alcohol base. Most of our scents come in both, so you choose how you wear it. More in our guide to how perfume oils wear.

Our perfume oils last about 12 hours or more on skin, and our Extraits 12 hours or more. On clothes, both stay 72 hours or more. It depends on your skin chemistry.

It's how much perfume is in the spray. Most extraits are made at 20 to 30%. Ours is 40%, which means more perfume and less alcohol in every drop.

Yes. Absolute Oil is the name on our oil bottles. On the site we call it perfume oil. Same oil, same scent.

Perfume oils come in 3ml and 6ml roll-ons and a full-size bottle. Extraits de Parfum come in 22.5ml and 50ml sprays. Our perfume oils are moving into a new bottle. Where a scent has it, you can choose the new packaging now as an early-access pre-order. The scent inside is the same. The expected dispatch date is on the product page.

Start with one or two small drops, or a light pass of the roll-on, on clean, moisturised skin at your pulse points, like your wrists or behind your ears. Rub it in slowly and gently if you like. More in our guide to how to apply perfume oil.

Hold the spray 10 to 15cm from clean, moisturised skin and start with one spray per spot, like your wrists or neck. Two or three sprays is plenty. Let it dry. Don't rub.

Probably not. Your nose gets used to a scent you're wearing and stops noticing it, while the people around you can still smell it.

Perfume can mark silk and pale fabrics, so put it on your skin, or test a hidden spot first. With an oil, transfer a little from your skin to a scarf and it stays for days.

Yes. Every formula is vegan, and we never test on animals.

Under Specifications on the product page, with the allergens listed. If you can't find them for a scent, email our email address and we'll send them. If you have sensitive skin or allergies, do a patch test first.

No preservatives and no artificial colours. The colour comes from a natural source.

We choose raw materials with care for people and planet. Our perfumers source oud from India, rose from Bulgaria and Turkey, and vanilla from Madagascar.

Royal Mail Tracked 48 is £2.95, or free when your order comes to £45 or more after any discounts. The Extrait de Parfum Discovery Set always ships free. Royal Mail Tracked 24 is £3.85, and Special Delivery Guaranteed by 1pm is £10.45. We deliver across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, but not to the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man.

We aim to dispatch every order within 3 working days, and most leave sooner. In very busy times, like sales and the run-up to Christmas, allow up to 6 working days. After dispatch, Royal Mail aims to deliver Tracked 48 in 2 to 3 working days, and Tracked 24 and Special Delivery the next working day. Royal Mail doesn't collect at weekends, so weekend orders go out on Monday at the earliest.

Yes, to 23 countries, including the United States, Canada, Australia, the UAE, India, Japan, Singapore and Switzerland, for £18 an order, tracked with Royal Mail. It usually takes 1 to 4 weeks after dispatch, and any import duties are yours to pay. We don't deliver to the European Union at the moment. The full list is in our shipping policy.

No. Extrait de Parfum is alcohol-based, so we can only deliver it to UK addresses. Perfume oils can go to every country on our list.

We can only make changes before your order is dispatched, so email our email address as soon as you can.

You pay in full when you order, and the expected dispatch date is on the product page. You can cancel a pre-order for a full refund any time before it's dispatched.

Yes. Tell us within 30 days of receiving it, then send it back within 14 days of telling us. Email our email address with your name, order number and the items you're returning, or use the form on our refund policy page. Unless something is faulty, damaged or wrong, you pay the return postage, so use a tracked service and keep your proof of postage.

Our full-size perfume oils, Extraits de Parfum and discovery sets arrive sealed. For hygiene reasons, once you break the seal, you can't return it because you changed your mind. Our 3ml and 6ml roll-ons aren't sealed. If one has been used, we may reduce your refund to cover it, up to its full price.

Email us your order number with a photo or video. We'll send a free returns label if we need the item back, then a replacement or a refund, whichever you prefer.

Yes. Tell us when you cancel and we'll arrange an exchange once your return arrives.

Within 14 days of us receiving your return, or of you showing us proof you've sent it, whichever is sooner. It goes back to the payment method you used, with no fee.

Yes. Tick "Add a gift bag" on any product page for £2 and choose white or black. A gift bag goes with a perfume, so add a scent too.

Yes, at our stands in Westfield London, White City (first floor, opposite H&M) and Westfield Stratford City (ground floor, opposite Lush). Both are open Monday to Saturday, 10am to 9pm, and Sunday, 12pm to 6pm.
