A great perfume rests on a few key notes. Our perfumers choose each one for its character, then balance them until the scent feels whole.
We test each material on skin. If it doesn't earn its place, it never makes the bottle.

AmberA warm accord of resins such as labdanum and benzoin. Golden, sweet and glowing on the skin.
AmberwoodA modern woody amber with a dry, radiant warmth that gives a scent lift and staying power.
AmbrettolideA soft musk with a gentle fruity sweetness and a clean warmth that sits close to the skin.
AmbroxanA smooth ambery wood note with a mineral, salty warmth. It radiates and lasts beautifully.
AppleCrisp, juicy and bright. From tart green apple to sweet red, it adds a fresh bite to the opening.
B
BenzoinA resin from Southeast Asia that smells sweet and balsamic, close to vanilla with a hint of smoke.
BergamotA citrus from southern Italy. Bright and zesty, with a soft floral sparkle like Earl Grey tea.
Bitter almondSweet and nutty with a marzipan richness that adds depth to gourmand scents.
Black pepperDry, sharp and spicy. A pinch brings energy and bite to woods and florals.
BlackcurrantTart, juicy and green, from the berry and its leaf. It gives florals a bright, fruity snap.

CaramelBurnt sugar, warm and buttery. It turns a scent soft, cosy and moreish.
CardamomA green spice with a cool, almost eucalyptus freshness. Elegant in oud and amber scents.
CashmeranA soft, woody musk with a velvety texture, like a cashmere jumper on bare skin.
CedarwoodDry and clean, with the scent of freshly sharpened pencils. It gives a fragrance structure and quiet strength.
CherryDark, juicy and a little boozy. It brings a rich, playful sweetness to warm scents.
ChestnutRoasted, nutty and softly sweet, like winter evenings by the fire.
CinnamonWarm, sweet and spicy bark. It adds glow and comfort to amber, vanilla and oud.
CoconutCreamy, milky and sunlit. It softens a scent and gives it a smooth, tropical warmth.
Cotton candySpun sugar, fluffy and playful. A sweet, airy note found in our gourmand scents.

DavanaAn Indian herb with a rich, fruity, almost boozy scent that warms florals and woods.

ElemiA fresh resin with a lemony, peppery brightness that lifts the heavier notes around it.

FrangipaniA tropical flower with a creamy, apricot sweetness. Lush, warm and sunny.
FrankincenseA sacred resin with a clean, smoky, lemony glow. Calm and quietly spiritual.
FreesiaA delicate flower with a fresh, peppery sweetness. Light, airy and bright.

HoneysuckleA climbing flower full of nectar. Honeyed, green and summery.

JasmineRich, heady and sensual, with a honeyed warmth. One of the great flowers of perfumery.
JuniperThe berry behind gin. Fresh, piney and crisp, with a clean aromatic bite.

LabdanumA sticky resin from the rockrose shrub. Leathery, ambery and deeply warm.
LavenderHerbal, clean and calming, with a soft floral sweetness. A classic in fresh and fougère scents.
LeatherA smooth accord of suede and soft hide. Warm, dry and quietly confident.
LemongrassFresh, lemony and green, with a light herbal snap. Bright and uplifting.
Lily of the valleyA small white flower with a fresh, dewy, green sweetness. Spring in a bottle.

MagnoliaCreamy and citrusy with a soft lemon freshness. Elegant, bright and floral.
MelonJuicy, watery and sweet. A cool fruit note that brightens a scent.
MimosaFluffy yellow blossom with a powdery, honeyed softness. Gentle and sunny.
MuskSoft, clean and warm, like skin after a shower. It helps every other note last longer.

NutmegA woody spice with a sweet, slightly peppery bite. Cosy and inviting.
O
OakmossA lichen that grows on oak trees. Earthy, green and damp, like a forest floor.
OrangeSweet, juicy citrus from mandarin, blood and bitter oranges. A bright, cheerful opening.
Orange blossomThe white blossom of the bitter orange tree. Honeyed, fresh and luminous.
OrchidExotic and creamy, with a soft, powdery sweetness. Elegant and quietly sensual.
OrrisMade from iris roots aged for years. Powdery and buttery, with a soft violet tone.
Oud (agarwood)A rare resinous wood. Deep, smoky and leathery, with a sweetness that lingers for hours.

Passion fruitTangy, tropical and juicy. A bright, exotic burst at the top of a scent.
PatchouliA leafy herb with a rich, earthy, chocolatey depth. Dark, warm and grounding.
PeachSoft, velvety and juicy. A ripe golden fruit that feels warm and sunny.
PearCrisp, juicy and sweet. A delicate fruit note with a light, sparkling feel.
PetitgrainFrom the leaves and twigs of the bitter orange tree. Green, woody and fresh.
PineappleSweet, tangy and tropical. Juicy and bright with a sparkling edge.
Pink marshmallowSoft, sugary and fluffy, with a powdery sweetness. Playful and cosy.
Pink pepperNot a true pepper but a berry, with a rosy, peppery sparkle. Bright and lively.
PralineCaramelised nuts and sugar. Rich, toasty and gourmand.

RaspberryTart, juicy and jammy. It brings a bright, playful sweetness to florals and musks.
RhubarbTart, green and crisp, with a rosy freshness. Unexpected and bright.
RoseSoft, velvety and honeyed, with a spicy edge. We use roses from Bulgaria and Turkey.
RumWarm, boozy and sweet, with a dark molasses depth. Rich and cosy.

SaffronPrecious threads of the crocus flower. Warm, leathery and golden, with a honeyed glow.
SageAn aromatic herb in clary and garden varieties. Herbal, fresh and slightly musky.
SandalwoodA heartwood that takes decades to mature. Creamy, smooth and milky, with a soft woody warmth.
Spiced toffee accordButtery toffee warmed with spice. Sweet, rich and cosy.
StrawberryRipe, sweet and juicy, with a jammy softness. Playful and bright.
StyraxA balsamic resin, smoky and leathery with a hint of cinnamon.
Sweet peaA delicate flower with a fresh, honeyed, slightly fruity scent. Soft and romantic.

TeaFresh, green and slightly smoky. A calm, clean note that brings balance.
TobaccoDried tobacco leaf with a honeyed, slightly smoky warmth. Rich and refined.
Tolu balsamA resin from South America with a sweet warmth of cinnamon and vanilla.
Tonka beanA seed from South America. Sweet like almond, with hints of hay, caramel and spice.
V
VanillaCured pods of the vanilla orchid. Creamy, sweet and smoky, with a rich depth.
VetiverA grass root with an earthy, smoky, slightly salty scent. Dry, green and elegant.
VioletPowdery and sweet from the flower, green and fresh from the leaf. Soft and nostalgic.
Y
Ylang ylangA tropical flower, rich and creamy with a hint of banana. Heady and sensual.

Oud
What is it?
A dark, resinous wood that forms when the agar tree heals itself. Rare, slow to develop and prized for centuries across the Middle East and Asia.
The smell
Deep and smoky, with leathery, woody and slightly sweet facets. It lingers on skin for hours.
Where you'll find it

Rose
What is it?
The best loved flower in perfumery. We use roses grown in Bulgaria and Turkey, where the petals are picked at dawn when their scent is strongest.
The smell
Soft and velvety with a honeyed, slightly spicy edge. Fresh at first, then deep and warm as it settles.
Where you'll find it

Sandalwood
What is it?
A pale, fragrant heartwood that takes decades to mature. One of the oldest materials in perfumery.
The smell
Creamy, smooth and gently woody, with a soft milky warmth that holds everything around it together.
Where you'll find it

Vanilla
What is it?
The cured pod of a climbing orchid. Our vanilla comes from Madagascar, where each flower is pollinated by hand.
The smell
Rich, creamy and sweet, with a smoky, almost boozy depth that makes any scent feel warmer.

Saffron
What is it?
The dried threads of the crocus flower, picked by hand. It takes around 150 flowers to make a single gram.
The smell
Warm and leathery with a honeyed, slightly metallic glow. It gives oud and rose their golden edge.

Tonka bean
What is it?
The wrinkled seed of the cumaru tree, grown in South America and dried until it turns dark and fragrant.
The smell
Sweet like almond, with hints of hay, caramel and warm spice. Think of it as vanilla's cosier cousin.

Amber
What is it?
Not the fossil, but a warm accord built from resins like labdanum and benzoin, blended to glow on the skin.
The smell
Golden, resinous and softly sweet. It wraps around the other notes and keeps them warm for hours.

Bergamot
What is it?
A fragrant citrus fruit grown on the coast of southern Italy. Its peel is cold pressed for the oil.
The smell
Bright and zesty with a soft floral sparkle, like Earl Grey tea. It opens a scent and lifts everything after it.
Where you'll find it

Orange blossom
What is it?
The white flowers of the bitter orange tree, picked in spring when the blossom is at its fullest.
The smell
Honeyed, fresh and luminous, with a clean, slightly green sweetness. Pure sunshine on the skin.
